We’re excited to have you there! As you enjoy your time on the island, please remember to direct your donations exclusively to our official Carnival Cruises dispatch officer, Nason Mark, who will be waiting under the “Caring for Kiriwina” banner. To ensure your contributions are handled properly, kindly do not give donations to anyone else.

We hope you have a fantastic experience exploring all that Kiriwina has to offer!

Check out these photos of our staff who headed to Kiaboloa Beach early this morning to welcome you! Enjoy your day!).

A Heartfelt Thank You for Our Caring For Kiriwina Community!

We are thrilled to announce that more donations are ready to embark on their fabulous journey to Kiriwina aboard the Carnival cruise! 🌟

A huge thank you to our incredible donors and dedicated volunteers for your relentless support of our beautiful Kiriwinan mothers and babies, as well as our amazing VBA volunteers. Your hard work and passion have been instrumental in preparing these donations for the upcoming November cruise.

We are especially grateful to Carnival for their generosity in transporting 20 bags of these much-needed donations. Your support is making a tangible difference in the lives of those in our community!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous contributions! A special thanks to the extraordinary ladies at Willandra Retirement Village—Martha, Joy, Chrissy, Bea, Helen, and Ann—who crafted the beautiful knitwear and also the talented women from St Swithuns Church in Pymble for the hand-sewn dresses and knitted teddy bears. Additionally, we are thankful for the fabulous John and Sandy for the delivery service, and the magnificent Mary, and the lovely Lila and Duggie Wuggie Lawton for their support! :).

Let’s continue to spread love and kindness!

We are excited to announce that our recent birthing kit packing event was a wonderful success! With immense support from our community of packers, including Anne, Lisa, Belinda, Tara, Abbas and Mark, we managed to assemble 300 essential birthing kits for the upcoming Carnival cruise in November. Our goal is to send as many birthing and dignity kits to Kiriwina as we can, and every contribution plays a crucial role in achieving this.

A special shoutout to Carnival for their commitment to transporting these donations every year; their support is vital in helping us deliver these essential kits. As many of you are aware, shipping costs are exorbitant. By agreeing to accept our donations, Carnival enables us to allocate funds for other essential resources, such as solar lanterns for village birth attendants, water tanks, as well as salaries and training sessions for trained midwives and VBAs, and many other essential items.

We genuinely appreciate everyone who dedicated their time, resources, and enthusiasm to make this event a success. Together, we are significantly impacting maternal health and wellness in our communities.

Stay tuned for more updates on how you can continue to support this vital cause!!

And again we ask, when will the Kiriwinan airport be operational?

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing Marianne for ensuring the safe delivery of these incredible birthing kits, generously provided by Rotary Wishart!

In addition, we are thrilled to announce that multiple birthing kit packing sessions have been scheduled over the next few weekends. This initiative will allow us to maximise Carnival’s generous offer to transport these essential kits on their upcoming trip to Kiriwina in mid-November. Donate now and join us in making a difference!

We are thrilled to express our gratitude to the incredible ladies of the Rotary Inner Wheel Club of Wishart Inc. for their generous donation of birthing kits! Since forming their sewing group in 2014, these talented women have tirelessly crafted these kits and other essential aids for women in disadvantaged countries—a true testament to their dedication and compassion.

Recently, we received 30 birthing kits, 30 reusable shields with washable liners, and 30 spare underwear items. A special shoutout to Claire Cameron, whose leadership has been instrumental in driving this project forward.

Attached is a photo of the amazing volunteers who lovingly sew and assemble these kits. Their hard work truly makes a difference in the community!
