In-country manager notes that due to Covid 19 restrictions on public gatherings only a hand full of VBAs were asked to come and distribute the items. Thank you to all our fantastic sponsors and donors for making this all possible!
What beautiful eyelashes for a boy… no wonder we got confused. Don’t you just feel like giving them all a great big hug… and the VBA’s as well. Missing you guys hugely! x
The soap sent, two boxes have already being received and one box has been offloaded in Alotau.
The masks and sanitizers are still in Pom as the flights to Losuia have being cancelled due to not enough passengers travelling to and from Losuia. Hoping to get them over to the Losuia Health Centre asap!
While you are waiting for these PPE masks here are some DIY ‘do it yourself’ mask production instructions. Once the Kiriwinan translation comes in we will revise artwork and print some more posters for distribution across the Island.
Thank you to all the incredible, self sacrificing nurses. This pandemic has thrown a spotlight on the truly invaluable nature of nurses to our existence. We would especially like to thank the brilliant CFK Midwives, Shea Calpice and Jacqui Andrews and the wonderful Lousia Health Centre midwives Leness and Bokowau. Luv youes all!
Aren’t they all gorgeous! Wonderful Losuia Health Centre Midwife Bokowau (In white shirt 4th from right) recieving delivery of Birth Registration Booklets, soaps and Birthing Kits from our CFK VBA’s. We are currently purchasing 150 PPE masks to protect these hard working carers as well as sening 2,000 more soaps and 100 education Posters. We need to purchase more…
Thank you Melcah Bwaina for helping distribute these items around the Island and these great photos.
