Thank you to UNSW for organising a mass pack of Birthing and Dignity Kits with 100’s completed. The timing is perfect as we can now take them with us on our 19th September Training Trip. Thank you to Dr Sophia, Dr Holly, Kate and all the volunteer packers. You have helped save the lives of Kiriwinan mothers and babies. @UNSW Medicine, @UNSW, @CaringforKiriwina.

Sadly Ruben, a Kiriwina High School Year 9 student’s father passed away when he was young and his mother is blind and disabled and cannot afford to pay the school fees.

Thanks to Katharina’s generous $100 donation he is now able to complete year 9.

The first well dug at Kiriwina High School has reached the water level. Hopefully pump installation will commence this week.

This photo is one of the new CFK water pumps installed at Kenobasi Village. The population of this village is approximately 130 people. The nearby village known as Wagaluma Village is about 80 people another village Okasikasi is’about 80 people has well to benefit from this water pump. This is the first of 5 pumps bought by CFK and to be installed by Mr Koega. The basement will be cemented during next week. The video of the woman pumping water is one of the VBA’s surrounded by local people. The people expressed their appreciation and gratitude to CFK’s sponsors and donors and the Australian Aid program for this life saving initiative.

This video and photo are of the Kavataria water pump maintained by the Mr Koega, the plumber.

Although CFK managed to get this pump working recently, we then found it needed more extensive maintenance as the existing pipes had rusted, making the water undrinkable. This water pump was broken down and the people from the biggest village on the Island, Kavataria, were not able to fetch clean drinking water. CFK bought the necessary parts and Koega repaired the pump and it is now working perfectly and people are able to fetch water for drinking, cooking, washing and etc. Yay!!!!

CFK continues to render support to KHS female students with donations of menstrual kits. Male students with staff digging the water well for the school water pumps ti be installed by CFK…Thanks to TBwaina and CFK.

Thanks to CFK and in-country manager Toks Bwaina (3rd on the left photo bottom left) for supporting KHS with reusable menstrual pads for female students (pictured top) and also donated two water pumps for the school in his last visit (Pictured below). Tomorrow he will again visit the school and donate another lot of menstrual kits for the female students. Thanks CFK and Mr. Toks Bwaina for continuous support. GOD BLESS YOUR HEARTS.
